Earlier this month the Wentzville School District completed another training in Life Space Crisis Intervention. Wentzville School District is located approximately forty miles west of St. Louis, Missouri, and serves more than 16,000 students. Since 2012, we have certified one hundred eighty staff members in LSCI. This series of training included staff from all of the schools in the district: three high schools, three middle schools, ten elementary schools, as well as the early childhood center and the alternative programs. Every administrator, social worker, and counselor in those buildings, along with certified teachers, para-professionals, and psychological examiners have been trained in LSCI. This project was conducted under the leadership of Cheri Thurman, Assistant Superintendent for Student Services.
