Developed by Larry Hampton, Satori Alternatives to Managing Aggression (S.A.M.A.) is a program that focuses on preventing aggression from becoming physically harmful through the use of an Assisting Process. The program curriculum includes information about the nature of anger and its effect on the mind and body and strategies regarding how to assist people with their anger. This is a sixteen-hour, four-part program that is led by a S.A.M.A.-certified facilitator and may be adapted to almost any group setting. This program meets or exceeds accreditation requirements for risk management of aggressive behavior problems.
