CF Learning is pleased to announce that Larry Brendtro, Martin Brokenleg, and Steve Van Bockern, authors of Reclaiming Youth at Risk and creators of the Circle of Courage, will present Growing Resilient Kids at the 2017 Black Hills Seminars.
Friday, July 28, 2017, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm
The authors will reflect on a quarter century of teaching and learning throughout the world and will look ahead with wisdom and hope for the future in providing services to vulnerable youth and families. The presenters use developing approaches that build on their early work with the Circle of Courage which helped to inspire The Model of Leadership and Service. The Model of Leadership and Service highlights the universal needs of Safety, Belonging, Achievement, Power, Purpose, and Adventure. Participants of this one-day workshop will learn how build resilience and relationships with youth, foster their self-esteem, and instill positive values in home, classroom, residential treatment, counseling, and correctional settings.
